The Feminist Memory Project Book Mela will highlight the works of many female Nepali authors, researchers, artists, bookmakers, and publishers.

The Feminist Memory Project Book Mela, organised by photo.circle and Nepal Picture Library, will take place on Saturday at Nepal Art Council in Babarmahal, Kathmandu. The event will highlight the work of many Nepali female authors, scholars, artists, bookmakers, and publishers.

Since 2018, the Nepal Picture Library has been collecting images and other archival materials with the goal of developing an open visual repository of feminist experiences in Nepal. 'The Public Life of Women: A Feminist Memory Project', which began as an exhibition, features selections from the archive.

A photobook of the same name, compiled from contributions from over 150 individuals and institutions, was launched late last year. The Feminist Memory Project Book Mela strives to bridge the gap between women writers and their readers, establishing connections and promoting women's literature. The book fair highlights female voices in literature and coincides with Women's History Month in March.

What: The Feminist Memory Project Book Mela.

Location: Nepal Art Council, Babarmahal, Kathmandu.

When:  March 16?

Time: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
